In August, 1984, I bought one of the first Macs. It came with Macwrite and Macpaint software. The diskettes were $10 each and you had to buy them in boxes of 10. My father still uses that old Mac and the ImageWriter printer that came with it. I think of that old make like its a manual typewriter. It gets the job done and will probably never wear out. BTW I now use a Dell with XP, it has a lot of Bells and Whistles and still crashes more than that old Mac ever has. -----Original Message----- From: Dick Ryan [mailto:deloreanbiker@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Saturday, April 19, 2003 7:38 PM To: DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [DMCForum] Re: computerclock Jim I have 5 operating Mac's of various iterations. The oldest is circa 1988 - one of the "original" Macs. No, they aren't superior, just much easier to use and extremely reliable.
