If someone can make a stainless steel frame option, i'm sure you could get away with making your own front crumple tube. I would be interested in an aftermarket front crumple tube if you are planning on creating them. It would be better if it were made out of stainless though. That way you have a marketing advantage over the current crumple tubes, and even over the full stainless frame. A lot of frames out there are still "good", except for the front extension. I have looked into getting a stainless frame, but I don't have $8000. let me know if you plan on pursuing this.
