Hi Walt I wouldn't want to try to be honest - there's hardly any of the stud left and the new cable isn't all that much and I'll be in Houston in May. I didn't know you were waiting for me re those washers. I had planned on getting myself a set made, but to get a stack done would be a bit more difficult. We just gave away about half a square meter of 4mm TA10 plate..... (and punching discs is very very easy for the supplier). Remind me - all washers have 12mm holes, and per car there's 4x 55mm and 2x 60mm ??? There's a good chance I could get, say, 20 sets made. For those who may be interested, our one of our sponsors on our Robot Wars robot is an Aerospace company who specialise in high quality titanium jet engine parts. One of the more exotic alloys is TA10 which is part vanadium. It's very, very hard and very very strong (a fellow team has just replaced 8mm high tensile steel prongs which "bent all the time" with 4mm TA10 which have been "perfect"). It is impervious to rust and I believe would be ideal for the replacement TAB washers. However I would not like to sign my name on that - there's no real expertise behind it which is why I wante to trial them on my own car first.
