Maybe the guy who said he had VIN 236 or whatever, actually had VIN 10236 since he heard other people refer to just the last three numbers. Just a thought. There are aftermarket cruise control systems that do not use the magnetic pickups but I don't know how well, or if at all, they can adapt to older vehicles with a mechanical throttle. My business partner has a lot pf experience in this area and if anyone would like to know more I will find out and post it here or to anyone individually who is interested. I may even be able to get a few of them from a vendor but I would have to check on that. I have never heard of any DeLoreans that were made with VINs lower than 500. I think the ones before that didn't have VINs per se, but I really don't know. I would be curious to hear under what circumstances he bought this early car. And I would be curious to know if it had toll booth windows or sliding windows, etc. Oh well, this guy might show up again next year and we'll have another crack at him. I want to know about cruise controls also. As I mentioned before, your car as well as my junk chassis had aftermarket cruise controls installed. I was wondering why those magnets were glued to the drive axels until someone who knew explained it to me. Mine still has the pickup coil but most of the magnets fell off. Yours just had little glue spots left where magnets once were. Walt To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to: DMCForum-unsubscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Your use of Yahoo!
