My uncle who works for the Ft. Lauderdale police has it installed on all his
vehicles.  The dept. even gave him a car to drive in hopes that someone will
steel it, its rigged with an engine kill and door locks.

Talk to your insurance company many of them will give you some kind of
discount for having it.  And some even get you a discount on the install.

If I ever get one installed I would pull the car apart just to find it and
see how it works :)  Like the legendary hidden VIN, a 1969 beetle doesn't
have such a thing.  But boats do have atleast one hidden HIN, but you have
to destroy most boats to find it....
