Hi Mike,
Maybe get a small DMC sign made that lights up, I'm in the process of 
making one for our house at the moment, and it looks great! Although 
mine will be 4 feet wide which might be too big for your classroom, 
but of couse you could easily make it much smaller, and backlight it 
with led's. I'll post pics of my one in a week or so.
