It has a built in setting/area for gmail but I believe it is pull not push.

The plans are 20 bucks for iPhone data and if you want unlimited txt its 20 more.  Otherwise its same plan you have now.  If you're an existing at&t customer you can just add the iPhone on so if you don't care about txt as much it would be 20 bucks.
