I did the same thing and had the same results with my launchers. According to Grady the doors hang point (without the gas strut) should be 3 to 5 inches from closed. Start with this then look into the gas struts. DMCH has the ones that dampen at the top of their travel - very nice. DPNW (Toby) has? / had temperature adjusting pistons with a lifetime warranty. Don't know if he still sells them now being a part of the DMC Franchise. DMCH has to approve of them first before he can sell. With as thorough as Toby is, I can only guess that they should not have a problem passing any quality/legal issues with DMCH. But if DMCH has a truck load of all ready paid for struts, I don't see them wanting to sell Toby's temperature adjusting ones before they sell out of what they have. Posted by: "Ryan Wright" ryanpwright@xxxxxxxxx ryanpwright Date: Thu Apr 12, 2007 1:59 pm ((PDT)) Well, here's the deal: My torsion bars were cranked up a lot when I bought the car. I turned 'em way down, just enough to perfectly balance the doors and have them gently stop at the top on their own without bouncing. Unfortunately, this made my launchers completely unreliable. If I crank the bars up one more notch, they won't be putting too much stress on anything, but my launchers will work well again. As it is, I think my torsion bars are turned down lower than most. -Ryan __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
