The AC belt was replaced last summer , what you are seeing is dirt which came off the antenna mount. As for the relay, it was in the car, I bypassed it. --- Videobob Moseley <videobob@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > from the looks of those photos, you might want to > replace that A/C belt too! > > Being that I sell replacement DeLorean antennas, I > install them for local > customers for free, > and I have done several of them, including replacing > my own this last > weekend! > I had replaced my original with one from another > vendor about 4 years ago, > and I > replaced it with mine last weekend. > > What always amazes me is that no two brackets or > systems are the same. > I have seen some with the relay ON the antenna, some > with the relay in the > car.... > My bracket is not as hard core as yours, I like how > it has lots of side > reinforcment, > mine doesn't have that at all. > > Just an observation. > > I have noticed that when I meet a lot of DeLorean > owners, usually their car > is the > only DeLorean they have ever really seen up close, > and sometimes they have > mods done > by previous owners and assume they are stock. > I met a local owner last weekend at a car show who > had a very odd engine > light, > it was a large, 4" round dome with a toggle switch > on the side. > He thought HIS was stock, and my small rectangular > light was the mod... > I tried to convince him that his light was not > stock...he seemed > dissapointed. > I see things like this all the time. > > - Videobob > VIN#5278 > > > >From: jordan rubin <nuttenschleuder@xxxxxxxxx> > >Reply-To: DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > >To: dmcnewsgroup <dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > >Subject: [DMCForum] Antenna replacment in my car > >Date: Thu, 8 Mar 2007 08:48:44 -0800 (PST) > > > >Hello, > > > > > > I finally found the time to replace my broken > >antenna.
