[DMCForum] Finally!!!! Joining the family and living the dream!

Well, some of you may remember me as the 'whiny brat' or whatever the
insult was that tried to get my own DMC a few years ago. I believe the
VIN was 3416. 

I'm getting it after all! $15,000, excellent mechanical condition from
the previous owner over the last 17 years who owns an import/exotic
car shop and does really nice work. No worries there. If I remember
right it needs some interior work but nothing too serious.

My parents did this for me. He (the owner) called my dad and wanted to
know if we could or would buy it. Apparently he was really impressed
with the way I didn't harass him or damage the car or anything and
he'd really like to sell it to a young enthusiast like myself rather
than somebody who just likes shiny things (I'm eighteen as of last
October, by the way - terrifying, isn't it?). 

We'll be working out the fine details of how much each payment will be
and so on tomorrow but man am I excited. 

Part of me is saying 'About time!' and the other is saying 'isn't this
a little early?' 

I recently resigned myself to never realistically owning my own
stainless wonder due to the way my career looks to be shaping up - if
I get the kind of work I'll be happiest in, I'll be poor for a good
long while. But now.. 

Man oh man. I know religion-related discussion is banned, so I'll just
say that I tried praying something I'd never tried before and I'm
obviously satisfied with my answer.
