As to using the hitch receiver for the insertion of a bike rack, I'd advise taking some careful measurements - - of your bike, that is. I spoke to a couple of people years ago who had tried the receiver for a rear mounted bike rack and they both complained that the rack positioned their bikes right where the tires would be in line with the exhaust pipes. One never noticed it until a tire blew. That's why I put my bike rack on the luggage carrier. Dick Ryan VIN 16867 ------------------------ Yahoo!
