Hijacked, yes.  The "last" EV-1?  I saw one in the Columbus, Ohio museum
where De Lorean VIN 500 is on display.  The EV-1 was down stairs.

I just got back from seeing, "Who Killed the Electric Car" which is playing
at the Tribeca Film Festival here in NYC.
 
They showed the last existing EV-1, sitting in the Peterson Museum.  These
all electric battery operated, plug in electric cars were produced then
literally crushed by General Motors.  
 
I was pleasantly surprised when they zoomed out and there was a DeLorean
sitting two cars down from it!
