Why not just make an electric car and forget having to make and store the hydrogen? Message 2 From: "Ryan Wright" ryanpwright@xxxxxxxxx Date: Fri May 5, 2006 11:30am(PDT) Subject: Re: Gas prices in England Screw buying fuel. I want to manufacture my own. I love the idea of a hydrogen economy. Why, because I can make my own hydrogen right in my garage. Power intense, yes, but I've got some land where I can generate vast quantities of wind power for cheap. So my fuel will be basically free (less the cost of the wind power, water, & equipment, but given the lifespan, I'm looking at really, really cheap fuel). Plus, electric motors are sweet. Tiny, virtually nothing to go wrong, generate all their torque at 0rpm. I can't wait until hydrogen vehicles are available. I'm going to wait for someone to wreck one, buy it cheap, rip out the goodies and convert a sports car. I envision a time when nobody really buys fuel, we just fill up in our own garages. A bank of solar cells on the roof to split h2o and we're set. -Ryan [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
