I visited the car today. My windshield / windscreen has the black patch and the mirror base looks plastic. The crack hasn't moved a bit. I planned to take a picture but forgot. I will next time. That is, if I can see through the splooge of JB Weld. Do either of you remember what the mirror base is made of? It's a plastic mirror, but is there a piece of metal on the base of the mirror? Or, is there a "patch" of non-glass material built into the windshield where the mirror mounts? Or is the entire windshield plain glass without any real way to tell where the mirror should mount? -Ryan On 4/5/06, timnagin <timnagin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > I haven't but a local owner did and there was nothing interesting to report. > I think a lot of people blow things about of proportion when working on the > De lorean. > > I don't buy the windshield cracking theory too much.
