Whatever low frequencies they produce will be improved
with a tight fit to the dashboard...  No, a 3.5 will
not produce a 40hz chest pounding rumble, but even the
mid-range is impoved with a tight seal.
Next you will tell me phase does not matter?  LOL  :)
