Well that can be said about the DeLorean as well. I do not know of 
any cases but I have been critized for buying for status only. If you 
think about it DeLoreans are for the most part a un-needed vehicle as 
well. Just go and buy a sedan.
Different strokes for different folks, as long as everyone is 
respectful to one another that is cool. Think of how boring life 
would be if everyone had the same car that you drove?
