That is very interesting, thank you.  You stated, "Unfortunately the blue
plastic case is almost impossible to remove without destroying it!"

Mine fell apart when I pulled it from the relay bank.  It also has very
similar cold solder joints and was in the car up until I bought it two years
ago.
