[DMCForum] ATTENTION: New DMCForum policies

Group,
With the most recent round of "discussions", it has become evident
that political & religious conversation serves only to damage this
forum. A majority of voting members have agreed; Poll results at this
time indicate:
Political: 12 against / 8 in favor / 7 don't care
Religious: 12 against / 7 in favor / 6 don't care
When this group was originally created, it's founders had hopes for a
wholly unmoderated forum, rich in DeLorean knowledge and appropriate
conversation. Unfortunately, recent and ongoing events indicate such a
forum may never exist. Rules must exist and some level of moderation
is necessary to ensure they are followed.
Effective immediately, political & religious discussion is no longer
welcome on this forum. While some level of politics will be tolerated
- for example, discussions of oil prices - these topics must be
carefully handled and should be directly related to DeLorean
ownership. Trolling will not be tolerated, nor will responses to said
trolling. I understand the desire to defend ones position when
attacked by trolls - I am often guilty of it myself - however, it is
in the forum's best interest that these posts be ignored.
Discussions that the moderators deem inappropriate will be handled as
follows:
1. A public warning will be posted in the relevant thread.
2. Members who ignore the warning may be subject to a brief revocation
of posting privileges.
3. Continued violations will be handled on a case by case basis.
4. In the interest of full disclosure, moderator actions will be
posted to the list.
Once a warning has been posted, it is no longer open for public
discussion. This includes any commentary about moderator actions. If
you have a complaint, contact the moderators privately.
Your moderators are: Greg (timnagin), Dave Stragand and myself.
It is a fine line we are walking - trying to keep this forum as open
as possible while still being useful for the majority of DeLorean
enthusiasts. We pledge to do our best to treat everyone fairly and
hope that you can respect our wishes for this forum.
