Mark,

what makes you think you have a problem in there ?

I don't say it's impossible, but it's very unlikely that
those wires in there are damaged. 
I had that box replaced wth a stainless one a few years ago
and you don't want to uninstall it. All you need  to do
is to take off the T-panel and the little sheet metal thing 
that is glued  on. This is all the access you have and need
to get to the connectors.

Or you have to take off the doors, but that realy sucks !
To do that job you need to know exactly where and what the 
problem is or you may get much more trouble with reinstalling 
all that stuff.

I know somebody removed this metal box under the t-panel to fix the 
rust holes and had pictures on the internet somewhere.

I would like to see these pictures again because i am going to do some 
electrical short repair to some wires under the box.

If anybody has these pictures please direct me to them or forward them 
to me.
