Yea, and that's called research and development. Name one thing that was
ever invented that had an immediate ROI as soon as the first one was built?
Sometimes people invest in projects or businesses where they won't see any
profit for a number of years. That's called a long-term investment.
If nothing else, Rich is trying rather than sitting on his ass and bitching
that it can't get any better. If he fails then so what; he will learn and
move on. Whatever budget you created for yours, Marc, go ahead and double
the cost and time, as that seems to most always be the reality.
I can not understand how anyone can constantly bitch about something and not
even try to do something. If all of your attempts proved a little to no ROI
then why not just give into the evil machine that is oil and enjoy life for
a change?

As I said in my message, I am skeptical that Rich will
see any significant savings.
I have thought of a number of "ideas" and when I start
researching, and creating a budget for the project, I
quickly realize that it is not cost effective.
It is hard for an individual to build a "home made"
reliable vehicle that will compete with what is
available from mass production. Building a "one off"
is very expensive, and what if it does not work?
