Now that is an interesting idea indeed.  John, why don't you try a spot
somewhere on your frame and see what happens?  If it is relatively fast, I
wonder what it would take to create a tank to submerge the entire frame.
The EPA would go nuts, though.

Soak it in Brake fluid for a week or two (ok, lots of brake fluid!)

If you're having it hot-dipped galvanised, then it all burns off anyway
