Marc,
Your explanation here answers my question about you and DMCH. You have a
good point about JZD reclaiming his other trademarks after DMCH took the
name and a slightly modified logo of DMC of old.
I asked "THE QUESTION" to you again because I still was not understanding
your perspective. I see your point now. You do not like DMCH for the way
they conduct their business and you would prefer to take your business
elsewhere. That is entirely fair. I'm almost sorry it took me so long to
understand where you were coming from. The only thing I disagree with you
about is when you said you do not pick on DMCH. Of course you're gonna pick
at them- you don't like them. No problem with me.
If you were under the impression that I believed you were being dishonest
when talking about DMCH, then I apologize for the misconception. I have met
you in person briefly and read many of your posts on the lists, and I will
speculate that you are one who's smart enough to do some research on a topic
before just posting or speaking your mind.
One more thing I feel necessary to say about the "standing up to DMCH"
attitude- this is my own failing here, but I don't give a f$#* about any
vendor/customer ego wars or any crap twaddle like that. My experience in the
DeLorean world is based on 2 ideals- 1) How I feel when work or play with my
own car, and 2) the community of friends, fellow owners, and enthusiasts
that share the passion of the marque and car. If the vendors want to play a
control or ego game, I don't care. I'll spend my money where I want. If none
of them want to sell me parts, then I'll make do.
BTW- I have to deal with Microsoft & Symantec- two companies who are trying
to control the computer world in their own way. I play by their rules
because I accept their product. It sucks, but as the old saying goes, "The
man with the gold makes the rules." History has proven that statement.
Now that I understand why you dislike DMCH, I'll not bother you with the
issue anymore.
