I don't think people are afraid.  I think the majority don't want to go to a car show and have people talk about them at different tables.  Its the "high school" syndrome.  No one wants to be talked about in a bad way.  Most people want to be apart of the cool crowd.
I think the other majority just don't care about concourse politics, vendor politics, or (fill in the blank).  you can include me in that group.  Maybe its because my car is far from "concourse' quality.  Or because I don't really care if you guys all think i'm cool or not.
I think its great that Marc is confident enough in himself that he can say, or type, what he thinks and not care about what others say or think of him.  On top of it, you'll see him at the car shows participating in whatever he can get his hands on.  And talking to whomever he wants....all while having a pretty good time too.  Too many people live with filters in their life that prevents them from ever opening up and saying what they want.  What a pitiful and boring existance to those people.
