The tranny wont do you any good, standard Chevy RWD
transmission is useless in a rear engine
configuration.

You can adapt the 350 to fit the DMC trans, or use a
Porsche trans.

You WILL need to cut the fiberglass in the back
(fascia area) to make it fit, and it will add lots of
weight to the car.   As ugly as it is, it has been
done.
