busy? I thought you were unemployed? How do you think the rest of us do who actually work, or heaven forbid own their own business. That's no excuse for removing emissions. Now I am no big eco buddy, but they are there for a reason, like it or not.

None of that crap was on the engine when Ford created the 289/302 in
1962 (neither was EFI, but that's another controversy for another thread).
What's so hard to understand about wanting to return the engine to its
basic roots?
Unless you're one of those people who blindly assumes that just
because something is chronologically more recent it must somehow be
better...
When you're as busy as I am, you don't have time to screw around with
a bunch of crap in the way just to change a set of spark plugs.
And yes: emissions components do look assinine. Don't see too many of
them on Hot Rods or show cars, do you (not that my F150 is either, but
the principle remains).
