[DMCForum] mystery pop

I have found what part of the car that my short is in but I have no 
idea what it is or how to get to it. When ever I go to start my car 
the battery works until I turn it to the start position there is a 
popping sound coming from the front of the car and then nothing works. 
What coulld this be? Like I have said before, electronics are my weak 
point.
