I still remember the days of when "deaf" people would walk into fast
food places, and put little cards with trinkets attached to them on
your table. It would say something to the effect of, "Hi, I'm deaf,
if you pitty me, leave a buck, and keep this peice of plastic as a
gift. God bless (insert clipart of a hand signing the word "love")."
My dad would alway tell the people to get those things off our table,
to which they immediately would.
My father once told me that years before, he was in one of these
places, and saw the manager of the place tell the guy to leave. He
just played like he was feble, and couldn't understand him. So the
manager then called the guy a "faggot", while the guy had his back
turned to him. The previously deaf guy became enraged, and spun
around to try and pick a fight. In the end, the dude was 86'ed from
the place, cussing all the way. After that, my dad never trusted any
beggers again.
