Yes, that's what the smart shopper would do. But for those who don't change their
own oil so to speak have to pay extra. Kinda like the Convenience Marts where you
pay more for a 20oz as apposed to a 2 liter at a grocery store. I guess the
current year prices are higher because off all that labor it takes to transport
the supplies from the future to the past which is actually now.  :-)

Something doesn't add up.

The hover conversion is $194k.
The flux capacitor is $54k.

Then it's stated that the hover conversion in 2015 is only $40k. So,
wouldn't someone just buy the flux capacitor, go to 2015 for the hover
conversion and save $154k?
