Once you have a court judgment against someone and he doesn't pay, you
can lien his house and/or garnish his wages.
The catch is, he has to own real estate or have a job, and if he does
have a job you have to know where he works and/or get ahold of his
social security number. Otherwise, you can turn it over to collections
and let them work their quasi-legal magic, but they'll take 40%.
I have a ~$600 judgement in small claims against a little prick who
couldn't be bothered to show up in court and defend himself. It's been
4+ years and I haven't seen a dime.
