[DMCForum] Alternator belt

Hi all,

My alternator belt broke on my way back to town today. My alternator 
is the original Motorola. I have been trying to put the new one on; 
from what I understand you have to loosen the 2 bolts on the sliding 
bracket, and then loosen the big bolt that goes through the top where 
the alternator is mounted to the engine. I cannot get the nut on the 
end of the big bolt to budge from the bolt. I can't slide or pivot the 
alternator at all, is there any possible way to get the belt on 
without loosening that big bolt on top? Really need to get a new one 
on so I can drive to work tomorrow. Appreciate any help, Happy 4th 
everyone.
