[DMCForum] Re: Houston: DAMN IS IT HUMID HERE!!!!!!

There wasn't anything in the showroom. If the car is onsite, then it's
hidden in the warehouse somewhere.

I did stop by this morning. The windows were still covered, but the
warehouse doors were open. All I can say is, damn! From the outside,
the building doesn't look all that big. But just standing at the doors
with engines and transmissions towering almost 2 stories over you is
certainly an intimidating thing. I didn't dare go in, because I didn't
want to be a dick, or anything like that. I did see Espy, and Wynn
walking around, but they were busy, so I didn't want to bother them.
Besides, I'll get to meet them later.

It was a couple of minutes before I realized that the crates sitting
in front of me were car doors. Dusty, and the stencils were long faded
on them, from when Consolodated Intl. bought them, and had them
shipped to the Irvine QAC. It really makes you step back, and take a
look when you realize that these aren't just car parts, but parts of
history. Likewise, it's rather sad when you realize these are not NOS
pieces that were replacement parts. Everything you look at in there
was meant to be built into a car. Vehicles that never even made it to
the assembly line.

On a side note, big kudos to whomever it was that thought to etch a
side stripe pattern into the glass panes of the showroom. I thought
that was such a classy touch!

Later on, I'll be getting pictures of the outside of the building at
night. I've seen many Dealership signs before, but not one that was
actually wired, mounted, and working as intended.

See everyone there.
