I tilted the mirror so I could get to the edge of the glass. Using a 
thin, flexible putty knife I worked it between the glass and plastic 
backing plate. Take your time and go slow. I was able to remove both 
pieces of glass without breaking or damaging anything.

So I've got these convex mirrors from Tom in Poland.  They look 
great.  He hasn't finished his install instructions yet, and I'd like 
to go ahead and get mine installed.  Does anyone know how to remove 
the original mirror glass without breaking it?
