The actual steel posts have split??? If you mean that the plastic
that surrounds them has split, this is kinda normal. You can fix it
by filling the hole with JB weld, and then placing the post back in
there. Make sure to let it dry for like 6 or 8 hours.
If the steel post really has split, then I would probably pull it
outta there and then get another one at a hardware store. They might
not have the same thread (m6), but one of 1/4" would probably work
just as well.
