Problem isn't the lug pattern (4" square), it's the offsets. Look
closely at a DeLorean -- outer edges of front and rear tires line up,
despite radically different tire sizes (compare to the alignment of a
dually pickup). This was a design concession forced by all that weight
behind the rear axle (original Giugiaro designs had 14" tires the
whole way round). This also explains why we can't carry flat rear
tires under our hoods! Front rims have a traditional outward offset
while rears are deeply inset. If you can find matching rims with the
same uncommon bolt pattern, in two different diameters/widths, with
two different offsets, you may be able to pull this off. Otherwise,
I'd stick with the stock rims while you address other issues.
