Josh,
You'll really want to raise the rear of the car, it makes it easier. 
Some suggest removing the drivers side trailing arm shield as well 
for easier access. I'm a big guy, and it is a bit awkward, but what 
isn't when working on cars? If the filter is original, it will 
usually be incredibly tight. You will need to use force to remove it.
And make sure you use new washers when reinstalling it. Good fire 
prevention since we're dealing with gasoline.
Are you just changing the filter as part of the fuel system 
overhaul, or has something required it to be changed?
