Doc didn't event try to fix it. The deal was that Marty and Doc were 
trying to come up with a solution to accelerate the car at 88mph. And 
it had to be fast, otehrwise Doc was going to be killed, they only 
had 3 days. Marc, you have to watch the movie again.... it was on TBS 
last week!
