I'd think the inside of the D doors would be cooler since the bare
stainless reflects the heat and dark paint would absorb it. Just a
guess.
Glad you're enjoying the movie and young Shattner. I saw an old TZ
episode with him last night where he was in his late 20s/early30s.
Too bad it's not a DVD so you can turn off the subtitles. Someday
when I find time I'd love to take the Kurso -- we can have a
conversation in Esparantelorean.
