Marc,

You are right, as people become more educated they become more liberal. 
 A large part of this jump in cognition is based in studying history, 
psychology, sociology, etc.

Once you learn how people are manipulated and how biased information can 
be  you learn to question everything.  And that is what college is 
hopefully designed to do.  It certainly is in ALL of the rest of the 
countries in the world.  Quote from the book "the right america" which 
was just published.

It is ashamed that our schools and text books are being censored and 
even what student's here is now being controlled.

It is not that our colleges are left wing, it is that higher education 
teaches you to see the bigger picture, not the limited very that 
religious right wing people have.

The college had no response to Dave's editorial.  It will be interesting 
to see what they do in 2006!


The scary t hing going on now in this country is that there are so many 
right wing religious colleges that feed crap to their students and they 
all, like lemmings, believe the BS.

Here's  an ironic true story.

My neighbors son (Steve) went to Oral Roberts U.   He flunked out in his 
3 rd year, because he wanted to keep the money for himself and not give 
it to the church like he was being taught!!!

He then became a jewelry salesman and made good money for someone in his 
20s.  He was right wing, greedy, against all social programs,  including 
national health care and anti abortion.  AND FAT.


Well, guess was happened.  He got a mild case of diabetes AND FOUND OUT 
HE COULD RETIRE ON SOCIAL SECURITY BY CLAIMING HE WAS DISABLED.

Found an SS attorney and a doctor will to say he was disabled.   AND HE 
RETIRED A AGE 28  WITH FULL MEDICARE.   OH, YES, he is still against any 
social programs or national health care.   BUT,  when you challenged 
him, his retorted is "hey, why shouldn't I take advantage of the system. 
 !!!"  Yes, he voted for BUshie.  Steve really is such a hypocrite.


Here's another true story.     A friend of mine married an large 
religious, right wing women. who made him go to church He had not been 
to church in 20  years..  She is anti abortion, anti any social 
programs.and a hard core republican.  Well, she was in a parked car, 
that got bumped by another car.  Made a small dent in the driver's . 
 She claimed a neck injury and could not work any more.   Went to all 
kinds of doctors, got a lawyer  filed for social security and got full 
disability.  She now gets $2000 per month and free health care.

That was two years ago.  She now "volunteers"  for her church and just 
came back from 2 weeks in Colombia with her daughter doing missionary 
work!!!!   (Used her SS money to pay for the religious trip.   YEP, she 
voted for BUshie.  Yep, she is still against any social programs, but 
gives the same "hey, why shouldn't I take advantage of the system.  !!!"

Republicans always complain that Black people rip off this country. 
 (When you check the statistics- this is not true).  Here are two white 
republicans RIPPING OFF US TAX PAYERS.
