I'm glad you would be next to me..  Our difference of
opinion on the matter is if Bush has this on his
agenda.

You have been clear that you think this can not happen
in America, but even if I agree with you (which I
don't) it would still bother me that the president
would WANT it.

COULD it happen?  Yes, I think it can..  It may take
some time to reach the extreme of rounding up all of
the non-believers, but it has happened before and can
happen again (We did this to the American Indians, and
the the American Japanese... probably a few other
times too!).  Why elect a man who shows any tendency
towards elimination of the separation of church and
state?  Clearly, Bush has crossed this line with
"faith based" programs.  How much further will he go
in his second term?  Constitutional amendment to ban
same sex marriage?  what next?  Maybe Bush will remove
the 22'nd amendment along with the 1'st amendment? 
Assuming he does not bankrupt the country in the next
four years such that we are invaded and taken over, it
would not surprise me if he ran for president again in
2008.
