lesson learned.  As soon as I find time and figure out how to remove 
the polish I'll bring it back to its natural luster.  I'm thinking Dawn 
would be good -- it's a magnificent solvent.  It'll even strip unwanted 
(or wanted) dye from hair.  ....................LP
