[DMCForum] unions and abestos

I don't usually express my thoughts on things but today I have read
two posts that are so far off base I can't let them go by. A
statement was made by someone today that thanks to the unions  the
car business went to Mexico, this is true. Our unions are guilty of
making the auto companies pay a saving wage, with health insurance
and a retirement plan to their workers, is this wrong? Let say it
takes 500 hours to build a car with all of it parts, the union at $40
per hour this is with benefits and the Mexicans with $4 per hour, do
the math. Greed is what drove these jobs to Mexico, not the unions,
did any car company lower the price of their cars when the went to
Mexico, NO. once more I say GREED not the union lost us our jobs.
Someone said no American but workers in the manfactruing of Abestos
had ever died of exposure, this is so far off base it's funny. Old
Boilermakers die everday due to the abestos they inhaled for years
building power plant, I am a union member and a Boilermaker and proud
of both, thanks this was my two cents.
Andy Blackmon I am also proud of my Delorean that I have owned since
1982. 3513
