The 4 small screws is my procedure. I dont think it is a
good idea to put bolts all the way thru the fiberglass
either from the back or thru the top. (I have heard of
people going thru the top, tho.) It is double-wall with
foam filling the inside. Putting bolts, nuts & washers
would compress the layers together cracking them. I think
it is better to do all the attaching to only one layer of
fiberglass. You could still use bolts, nuts & washers if
you cut a big hole in the interior layer, but that isn't
really necessary and would probably weaken it too much. You
only need to hold the panel down. It isn't going to try to
escape or anything. I think Andrei did his with a quality
epoxy. That would work great if you got it under there
where it mattered. Tho, Andrei is into all the catalyzed
goo due to his boat engineering job.
