Re: [DMCForum] Re: throw-out bearing replacement

Hi Ken,

I am sure Jim would have taken you up on the offer if you would have done the work.  Few DeLorean owners are up to the challenge of such a big job.  It took the better part of 4 days; tho much of that involved doing 'elective surgery' and running errands.  Considering my messed up schedule, if I had to commute to your place & back each day, it would have taken several days longer.  I would have had to pack my tools (and probably forget things) or use yours.  I dont like borrowing people's tools because I dont like them borrowing mine.  I turn my back & someone uses a delicate tool for a prybar, chisel, cutter, etc.  (I'm not referencing Jim in particular -- just people in general. ;-)

Someday I would like to use your lift to do body/frame separation/assembly, but we live so far apart that I'm not sure how that could work.  I would likely have to store the body at your place while I trailer a frame home to work on.

Another issue is that you either dont get all the e-mail sent to you, or you dont answer them.  But then I should speak for myself. ;-)

How's the wife & boy doing?  I trust you are letting him run around barefoot?  I got the biggest laugh when Debbie Grady pulled his socks off. :-)  Yay!

Walt
