oops!, Greg  -- guess I worded that poorly and left myself wide open 
for comments (am I digging myself deeper?).

If anyone cares --  still haven't had time to deal with my D's 
electrical problems.  Drove it across town today and noticed that 
the voltage fluctutes wildly especially when the fans engage.  
Stopped home on my way to Auto Zone  to have them check the 
battery and it was dead when I went to restart the car.  By the time 
it recharged it was too late to drive over there (and I was busy 
laying the floor <GG>).   Back on the  charger for now.  Maybe 
tomorrow.
