Thanks for the thoughts. My dad got his PET scan back today and the
news was bad as I suspected. Luckily my parents retired near by and
I will have a lot of opportunity to spend time with my him over the
next few months. I plan to make the most of it. The hardest aspect
of this for me has been my kids. They are 2 and 4. It saddens me
to think that they will never really remember much about him. It
also saddens me that my dad won't be around to enjoy their
milestones through life.
I hope your grandfather can enjoy his days and that you and he can
make the most of the time you have remaining. Be thankful for the
years you had and the influence your grandfather had on your life.
If I can offer any support or help in anyway email me off list. It
always helps to have someone to talk to who is going through the
same thing as you.
