Hello, all:

My employer, The University of New Orleans, is now on Condition II of 
their Hurricane Preparedness Procedures. The upshot of this is that as 
of 9pm CDT today, I will no longer have email access. If anybody needs 
to contact me, call my cell phone which I presume will still function. 
That number is (504)858-0346.

The parish in which I reside is under a voluntary evacuation order. If 
this becomes mandatory, I will flee to Georgia. (Tom Payne has 
magnanimously offered me a spare pallet in his house in Cleveland.)

As of now, however, the radio station is still under full air staff, 
including me; moreover, the show I am currently engaged in is scheduled 
to open this weekend. Any changes in those schedules will be made known 
before Wednesday; however since email is shutting down tonight I will be 
unable to let you know of any changes.

At this point I could go or stay. Either way, I will survive. Remember, 
only the good die young. ;)
