The stock computer (which I have already) used in the
car relies on signals from other systems in the car
(such as the automatic transmission computer) to
operate correctly.  At best, the computer would only
work in a "limp home" mode without those signals.

When considering a swap, I found that most engines
spin the same direction..  However, I needed to verify
that the engine did not rely on an external balance. 
It needs to be internally balanced, which the 3.5L is.
