Dan, welcome to the DMCForum as well as the BOBOT.  While
you are putting your a/c back in the dash, I recommend
stopping those passenger foot well drips once & for all.  It
isn't necessarily a matter of insulating the outside of the
box, but that is important too.  Why it drips is because
condensate collects on the inside of the upper half of the
box.  When it drips off, it finds its way thru the seam
where the top & bottom parts of the box come together.  If
they reversed the lip then this wouldn't be an issue.  It
would then drip to the inside.  My cure is to fill the seam
with a bead of caulk before putting the halves together.

Hope this explanation makes sense.
