Well, guys, I think Walt has a point.

The other night while cooking dinner I crunched one of my little toes 
pretty severely. Next morning, I found putting on shoes hurt. Sandals 
also hurt, since the little strap rubbed against that toe. So yesterday 
I went barefoot (I love my job *grin*), and today I'm doing it again.

I've found a few advantages:

1. At the end of the day, my feet don't smell like they've been in shoes 
all day,
2. Nobody hears me coming,
3. Walking on the grass is a lot more pleasant,
4. I really appreciate my carpet when I get home, and
5. Panhandlers no longer ask me for money.

I'm going to try it for a week and see what happens ... trick is, will 
my regular watering hole let me in without having any footwear on ...?
