Well, good things come to those who wait. While I've been saving my 
money, the Shell station in my neighborhood has turned into a full-time 
shop (and they're good guys/gals, too). And last week I met a guy who 
has a metal shop in his garage and says I can come over to play any time. :)

Who knows ... by the time I actually get the thing I may have the 
support network I need already in place!
